With two or even three finishing coats on each piece, we use a super durable commercial-grade satin/matte finish often used on floors. It's water and spill-resistant, but like all fine furniture, you'll want to take care of it. For an extra touch, treat it with our Lareaux's Furniture Wax a couple of times a year. If you're after a uniform color without natural variations, staining might be needed. But hey, our pieces are about showcasing the wood's natural beauty. If you're really set on a specific stain, get in touch, and we can discuss your options. We can even send you a sample piece to see how the wood will look in your home.

Our "Mixed Walnut" includes light streaks (sap wood) from near the tree bark. We love the magical blend of sap and heart woods, and we even offer it as a variation in our Santa Monica line. Want something without the light streaks? That's available too, but at a premium price.

• Timely Communication: If you need to make a change to your order, it's crucial to contact us as soon as possible. The sooner we know about your desired changes, the more likely it is that we can accommodate them, within the constraints mentioned above.
• Limited Window for Changes: Remember, there is a limited time frame to make any adjustments. Whether it's a standard or custom order, the flexibility to make changes decreases as the order progresses through our production and preparation process.
